On Friday, the grand opening ceremony was held for one of the greatest sporting spectacles – the Olympic Games, which this year are being held in Paris.
Sports enthusiasts around the world watched the incredible scenes of the ceremony, which this year took place not in a sports stadium, as is customary, but on the River Seine.
And former Croatian President, Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, who has been since 2020 Croatia’s representative in the International Olympic Committee, was also at the opening with her husband.
“The wait is over - athletes from around the world unite in the City of Light to chase their dreams and make history. Let’s Go Croatia,” wrote Kitarović on her social media, along with photos from the opening.
