Zagreb Airport reached a historic milestone in June, handling 406,032 passengers, the highest monthly total ever recorded for the Croatian capital’s airport.
This marked the first time the airport surpassed the 400,000-passenger mark in a single month, reflecting a massive 17% increase compared to June 2023. This growth was supported by a 10% rise in the number of flights, with a total of 4,420 operations during the month. Without doubt a huge factor in the record breaking month for the airport is the number of flights now operated by the low-cost Irish airline, Ryanair.
In the first half of the year, Zagreb Airport saw 1,970,818 passengers pass through its terminals, representing a 16.4% increase over the same period last year, adding 277,306 more travellers.
The airport anticipates continued strong growth into July, with scheduled seat capacity set to rise by 17.5%.
