Written by  Jun 12, 2024

The European Football Championship is about to begin, and the Croatian national team is in full swing preparing for the upcoming matches. They have already completed their first training sessions at the Mark Brandenburg resort in the German town of Neuruppin, which serves as the Croatian national team's base. The Croatian National Tourist Board has recognized the presence of the Croatian national team in Neuruppin as an excellent opportunity to further promote Croatia as a high-quality and attractive tourist destination.

The goal is to bring Croatia closer to all citizens of Neuruppin and potential guests by showcasing natural beauty, diverse gastronomy, and highlighting Croatian greats who have left an eternal mark on both Croatian and world history.

With these goals in mind, the Croatian National Tourist Board is organizing a photo exhibition titled "Experience Croatia" in Neuruppin's city gallery. Numerous visitors will have the opportunity to see photographs of Croatian landscapes, tourist attractions, and Croatian football players.

The exhibition will be officially opened on June 14 at 4:00 PM in the exhibition rooms of the city gallery Seepromenade 10. Guests will be greeted by Kristjan Staničić, director of the Croatian National Tourist Board, His Excellency Gordan Bakota, the Croatian Ambassador to Germany, and Nico Ruhle, the mayor of Neuruppin. The exhibited photographs will be available for viewing daily during the championship from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM with free admission.

Additionally, on June 14 at 5:00 PM, a special promotional event, a small Croatian fair, will officially open in the town square. On June 14 and 15, Croatian coastal tourist regions will be presented, and all guests and visitors will have the chance to enjoy the richness and diversity of Croatian gastronomy. There will also be accompanying entertainment and musical content. Among others, the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Tonči Glavina, will address the gathered guests in the square.

The presentation of Croatia will undoubtedly be significantly enhanced by sculptures of Croatian greats who are well-known worldwide. These include sculptures of the inventor Nikola Tesla, explorer Marco Polo, basketball player Dražen Petrović, sculptor Ivan Meštrović, mathematician Ruđer Bošković, and engineer Slavoljub Penkala. These sculptures will be placed at various prominent locations around the town, reminding all citizens and visitors of Neuruppin that Croatia is a country of great people.
