Ryanair Expands Zagreb Operations with Record Winter Schedule

Written by  May 16, 2024

Ryanair is gearing up to operate a record number of flights from its Zagreb base for the 2024/25 winter season, which spans from October 27 to March 29, 2025. The budget airline has upgraded its newly launched routes to Pisa and Alicante from seasonal to year-round, offering twice-weekly flights throughout the winter. Additionally, Ryanair will resume its Memmingen service, discontinued over the summer, with three weekly flights starting October 28, reports EX-YU Aviation

The airline will also extend its seasonal Thessaloniki route to year-round, maintaining two weekly flights to Greece’s second-largest city during the winter months. In an effort to enhance connectivity, Ryanair plans to increase the frequency on several routes compared to last winter. This includes adding two more weekly flights to London Stansted, bringing the total to nine per week, increasing Malta flights to five weekly, Basel to four weekly, and Hahn and Weeze to three weekly flights each.

Tickets for these new flights are now available on Ryanair’s website. However, services to Sandefjord and Naples, which operated twice weekly last winter, have yet to be scheduled, and flights to Bergamo have been reduced from four to three per week. Further adjustments may be made as the season progresses.

Overall, Ryanair has scheduled eight additional weekly flights from Zagreb compared to the last winter season, adding approximately 3,000 seats. The total number of weekly flights from Zagreb for the upcoming winter season is now 64, with 11,705 departing seats each week.

“Ryanair, Croatia’s largest airline, has delivered low fares, connectivity, and tourism to Croatia for over fifteen years and has single-handedly driven Croatia’s post-Covid traffic recovery. We are boosting connectivity and the economy and driving tourism,” the airline said.
