As tonight's Eurovision final approaches, excitement is growing among domestic fans. And former President, Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, has joined the Baby Lasagna team!
The politician posted a message of support for Marko Purišić (28), or Baby Lasagna, on X ahead of the final, sharing a video on X of the whole of Croatia dancing to Rim Tim Tagi Dim and calling on her followers to vote for Baby Lasagna.
“The whole of #Croatia united at noon today dancing to #BabyLasagna and #RimTimTagiDim. Let’s all unite behind Croatia tonight at #Eurovision2024! Join us as we support our talented representative Marko Purišić! Don't miss out, tune in and vote for Croatia!” wrote Kolinda Grabra Kitarović.
And the former Croatian President had tweeted “Fantastic to see a kind, modest, and grounded artist like Marko, who proudly celebrates his heritage and speaks of issues that resonate universally—offensive to none. Let’s rally behind him! Go Marko!”
According to the latest betting odds Croatia is the favourite to win this year’s Eurovision in Malmo, with a 43 percent chance, reports Eurovoix News. Croatia’s best ever finish at a Eurovision was in 1996 and 199 when they finished fourth. And the huge support that Baby Lasagna has won, not only in Croatia where “Baby Lasagna Fever” has been building for days, but also around the world.
The second favourite is Switzerland with a 19.9 percent chance of winning.
And it would appear that the young Croatian singer isn’t nervous about tonight’s show as he commented that “I'm not bored waiting, usually I am, but the team is fun, we always joke around or play cards, it's always fun."
