Croatia Welcomes Arrival of First Rafale Fighter Aircraft

Written by  Apr 24, 2024

On Thursday, April 25th, around 12:30 PM, the first six of a total of 12 multi-purpose combat aircraft Rafale will fly into the Republic of Croatia, to the "Colonel Marko Živković" barracks in Velika Gorica from the French Republic.

The Ministry of Defence warns of increased road traffic and noise around Zagreb's Franjo Tuđman International Airport, typical during flights of combat aircraft. Pilots of the Croatian Air Force have been training for months to fly combat aircraft, which they will bring tomorrow from a military base near Bordeaux to the Colonel Marko Živković barracks in Velika Gorica.

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković has announced his arrival at the welcome ceremony for the first six of the 12 ordered Rafale aircraft. And President Zoran Milanović will also attend the welcome ceremony.
