Among the notable findings, Charles-de-Gaulle Airport in France clinched the top spot due to its considerable distance from the city centre (31.66 km), extensive flight options (270 destinations), and hefty car parking charges (€100 for a week). Meanwhile, London's Heathrow Airport boasts the highest parking fee on the index at €143.34 per week.

On the other end of the spectrum, Zagreb Airport in Croatia stands out as the least stressful airport, with a departure delay score of 1.4 out of 5 and a convenient distance of just 22.04 km from the city centre.

John Charnock, CEO of StressFreeCarRental.com, emphasized the importance of a stress-free airport experience, stating, "A bad and stressful airport experience could make or break the holiday." He highlighted Charles-de-Gaulle Airport's challenges, including high passenger volumes, expensive parking fees, and significant departure delays.
