Croatian President Zoran Milanović told Albanian Foreign Minister Igliu Hasanaj on Tuesday that Croatia supports Albania's accession to the European Union, the president's office announced.

The conversation partners agreed that Croatia and Albania have excellent bilateral relations.

Milanović confirmed Croatia's strong support for Albania's EU membership and reiterated his belief that Albania's EU membership negotiations should already be in the final stages, especially considering the fact that the country has been a NATO member for 15 years, the statement said.
