The average monthly paid net salary per employee in legal entities in Croatia for February was 1,248 euros, which is nominally 12.8 percent higher compared to the same month in 2023, and in real terms 8.4 percent higher, according to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS) published on Friday.
According to the DZS report, the median net salary for February was 1,044 euros, meaning that half of the employees earned less, and half earned more than that amount.
The highest average monthly paid net salary per employee in legal entities for February was in the production of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations, amounting to 2,823 euros, while the lowest was in the clothing production sector, 837 euros.
On a monthly basis, or compared to the salary for January of this year, the average net salary for February was nominally higher by 0.7 percent, and in real terms higher by 0.5 percent.
The average monthly paid net salary per hour for February 2024 was 7.33 euros, which is 9.7 percent higher compared to January, and 7.6 percent higher compared to February of last year.
