In a significant milestone for Zagreb Airport, February marked its busiest month on record, as it successfully managed a staggering 245,260 passengers passing through its terminals. This remarkable figure reflects a notable surge of 17.6% compared to the same period last year, underlining the airport's growing prominence in regional air travel.
Of particular significance is the fact that February's passenger count was only marginally lower than the typically bustling month of January, showcasing the sustained momentum in air travel demand throughout the early months of 2024.
Alongside the surge in passenger numbers, aircraft movements also experienced a robust growth rate, escalating by 12.9% year-on-year, indicating heightened activity and connectivity at Zagreb Airport.
For the cumulative period of January and February 2024, Zagreb Airport welcomed a total of 494,839 travelers, marking an impressive 15% increase compared to the same timeframe in the preceding year. This surge translates to an additional 64,623 passengers during the first two months of the year, further solidifying the airport's position as a vital hub for both domestic and international travel in the region.
