This is not the first recognition that readers and followers of European Best Destinations have bestowed upon Cavtat and Konavle. In 2019 and 2021, Cavtat entered the Top 10 Best European Destinations by readers' votes. In 2022, it was declared one of the best congress destinations, while in 2023, it was named the best honeymoon destination and one of the most beautiful bays.

Frano Herendija, the director of the Konavle Municipality Tourist Board, emphasizes that this is already Cavtat's second recognition in 2024. In early January, Matador Network, the world's largest independent publisher of travel publications with over 8 million unique visitors monthly, included Cavtat in its list of 10 destinations perfect for traveling in 2024. These are destinations that must be visited before everyone discovers them and offer the same natural beauty, cultural experiences, and adventure as places that constantly appear on the social media feeds of their readers.
