Fabrizio Romano reported early in the morning that the transfer of a 25-year-old Croatian forward from Benfica in Portugal to FC Dallas has been agreed upon.
The Italian insider, who had previously written about the transfer of Petar Musa, now reports:
"The documentation is ready; the clubs exchanged it on Tuesday and it is finally going for verification. Musa is ready for medical examinations and contract signing."
This transfer sets a record for the American club, considering that they will pay a fixed fee of 10 million euros for the Croatian forward to Benfica, with a possible additional three million euros through bonuses. The highest amount the club had previously spent on a player was 6.36 million euros, paid two seasons ago for the Argentine Alan Velasco.
Musa has scored six goals and provided two assists in 25 matches for Benfica this season, without playing the full duration in any match. He made his debut for the national team in March last year in the Euro qualifiers against Wales at Poljud, played against Turkey and Wales, but was not called up by Dalić for the matches against Latvia and Armenia.
