Ivan Perišić (34) is arriving on loan from Tottenham to his beloved Hajduk until the end of the season, after which he will sign a one-year contract with the Split-based club. His contract with Tottenham still has six months remaining.
During the official presentation, Perišić did not hide his emotions and revealed when he could potentially start playing.
Fabrizio Romano announced that Perišić could be on the field in April, a timeline that the player has now confirmed.
When asked if he will play in the derby against Dinamo at Poljud, he responded, "I'm taking it step by step. I'm running, and there are no problems. In two or three weeks, I should start training with the ball. Some predictions for the return point to April, but I don't know exactly when. I won't rush because things can go wrong. I did almost 80 percent of the rehabilitation in Belgrade, so I will go to Belgrade now; I always work with him when I am injured. I think I will definitely come here at the end of February or the beginning of March," he explained.

Although there was an option for Ivan Perišić to sign with a new club and leave Poljud after the end of the loan, that will not happen. Indeed, Hajduk announced that after the loan expires at the end of June, an agreement has been reached between the club and the winger for the upcoming competitive season.
This is significant news for Hajduk fans and the club's leadership, securing at least one full season with Ivan Perišić.
Furthermore, the presence of our outstanding national team player could be a strong asset for the President of the Management Board, Lukša Jakobušić, in negotiations with potential new signings, and perhaps even with some returning players to Hajduk.
