November Inflation in Croatia Hits a 2-Year Low at 4.7%

The annual inflation rate in November was 4.7%, as announced by the State Bureau of Statistics (DZS) on Friday, confirming the initial estimate.

Prices of goods and services for personal consumption, measured by the Consumer Price Index, were on average 4.7% higher in November 2023 compared to November 2022, while they were on average 0.1% lower compared to October.

According to the main components of the index, on an annual basis, price increases were observed in the components of food, beverages, and tobacco by 7.4%, services by 6.9%, and non-food industrial products excluding energy by 4.8%, while the prices in the energy component decreased by 3.4%.

On a monthly basis, price increases were observed in the components of non-food industrial products excluding energy and food, beverages, and tobacco, each by 0.2%, while the energy component experienced a 1.7% decrease. Meanwhile, service prices remained on average at the same level.
