Glovo, a multi-category platform that allows users access to various products and meals on demand, presented the ordering trends in Croatia during 2023.
This year, Croatians most frequently ordered burgers, pizzas, and kebabs. When it comes to food categories with the highest growth in 2023, these include vegetarian food, Arabic cuisine, and traditional dishes.
16 percent of annual orders occur on Fridays, and the best month in terms of consumption was May. Regarding the time of day, order fulfilment has been increasing since 12 noon, reaching its peak during dinner – almost 30 percent of orders happened between 6 and 8 PM.
The user with the most orders via Glovo lives in Zagreb and made 565 orders this year, which is more than 1.5 orders every day, paying over 12,200 euros – making them the user who spent the most.
Data also show that Saturday is the most common day for grocery orders for Croatian citizens, with orders mostly happening between 6:00 PM and 7:59 PM. When it comes to supermarket products, Croatians most frequently ordered milk, water, and bananas this year.
