Real Estate Market Remains Active: Apartment Prices Increase Once Again

The Croatian real estate market continues to show vitality as apartment prices experienced another upswing. According to data from the Croatian Bureau of Statistics (DZS), residential property prices in Croatia rose by an average of 3.5% in the second quarter of this year compared to the previous quarter. On an annual basis, property prices increased by 13.7%.

It's worth noting that in the first quarter of this year, property prices saw a 14% annual increase. This upward trend in residential property prices in Croatia has persisted since the second quarter of 2017.

In the second quarter of 2023, new residential properties saw an average price increase of 5.3% compared to the first quarter of this year. When compared to the second quarter of 2022, the prices of newly constructed properties surged by 12.4%, as reported by the DZS.

Meanwhile, the prices of existing residential properties increased by 3.2% on a quarterly basis and 13.9% annually. In the second quarter of 2023, property prices in Zagreb increased by an average of 3.2% compared to the first quarter of this year, while in the Adriatic region, they increased by 2.5%. In other areas, property prices rose by 7.5%.

On an annual basis, residential property prices in Zagreb saw an average increase of 14%, while in the Adriatic region, the rise was 12.8%, and in other areas, it reached 17.7%, according to statistical data.
