According to the reliable journalist, the new Chelsea coach, Mauricio Pochettino, supposedly isn’t counting on the services of the Croatian midfielder, and Kovačić could soon be under the guidance of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
"Manchester City has started concrete negotiations to sign Mateo Kovačić this summer. Positive discussions have been taking place with the player's team regarding personal terms in the past few days. Chelsea is ready to sell Kovačić as part of a midfield revolution. Talks will continue soon," writes the reliable Romano.
Kovačić has played 221 matches, scored six goals, and provided 15 assists for Chelsea.
