Turkish billionaire and president of Fenerbahçe, Ali Koç, confirmed the rumours of Dominik Livaković's arrival in Istanbul.
Dinamo Zagreb and Croatian national team goalkeeper, Dominik Livaković, has been linked with a transfer to Turkish club Fenerbahçe for some time now, and the whole saga surrounding his move to Istanbul has gained weight, as the club's president stated that they have reached an agreement with Livaković, and he also confirmed that they have a replacement for him in case the transfer of the Croatian goalkeeper falls through.
"The news is true. We have reached an agreement with Livaković and currently there are no issues. However, if there are any problems, I will go for Szczęsny from Juventus. It is certain that we will bring in a very good goalkeeper," Koç's statement was reported by Turkish CNN.
The amount that the Turkish giants will pay for Livaković's services is still unknown, but it is speculated that they will activate a buyout clause of 10 million euros. It is also presumed that Livaković is expected to earn around one million euros per year in the Fenerbahçe jersey, which is an increase compared to the 750,000 euros he currently earns at Dinamo Zagreb.
Livaković has made 282 appearances for Dinamo Zagreb and kept a clean sheet 131 times.
