Starting today, numerous cigarette brands by the company Philip Morris will become more expensive on the Croatian market.
Philip Morris Zagreb Ltd. has reported an increase in retail prices for certain cigarette brands, which will take effect on May 20th.
Cigarettes from the global tobacco giant will experience a price increase ranging from 2.2% to 3.9%, depending on the brand and type. Standard varieties of Marlboro will cost 4.80 euros instead of the previous 4.65 euros. Philip Morris brands will cost 4.20 euros (previously 4.11 euros), and Chesterfield standard packs will be priced at 4.10 euros (previously 3.98 euros).
According to data from the Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) conducted in 2017, approximately 29.6% of adults in Croatia reported being current smokers.
