The popular French newspaper L'Equipe published a list of the twelve highest paid football coaches in the world and a Croatian coach features.
Niko Kovač, the current coach of Wolfsburg, ranks eleventh with a whopping 4 million euros per year. The former Croatian coach is better paid than Xavi Hernandez, the coach of Barcelona, who is in 12th position with 3.8 million euros per year.
Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso is in tenth place with 5 million. Ninth Jose Mourinho (Roma) has 9.2, eighth Simone Inzaghi (Inter) 10, seventh Carlo Ancelotti (Real Madrid) 11, sixth Thomas Tuchel (Bayern 12), fifth Maximilian Allegri (Juventus) 12.8, fourth Graham Potter (Chelsea) 13.5, and in third position is Juergen Klopp (Liverpool) 17.8 million euros.
In second place is Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) with 22.4 million, and the first is Diego Simeone (Atletico) with an incredible 34 million euros.
