The tourist intensity rate is shown as the ratio of the number of tourist arrivals or overnight stays per 100 inhabitants and as the ratio of the number of permanent beds per 100 inhabitants, while the tourist density rate is shown as the number of tourist arrivals or overnight stays per unit area (in km2) and as the number of permanent beds per unit of area (in km2)
And for the first time, indicators on the rate of tourist intensity and density are available according to statistical regions, counties, cities and municipalities, the State Bureau of Statistics pointed out and published the data for last year.
Thus, they state, in Croatia in 2022 the average rate of tourist intensity was 29 permanent beds per 100 inhabitants and 2,326 tourist overnights per 100 inhabitants, while the highest number of tourist overnights per 100 inhabitants was achieved by three municipalities located in the Istrian County.
