Members of the Croatian Association of Film Workers, Ana Sarić and Melkior Serdarević, as set designers, participated in the creation of the film All Quiet on the Western Front, directed by Edward Berger. At the 95th Academy Awards ceremony of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the film All Quiet on the Western Front won as many as four Oscars, for best international film, scenography, film music and film photography, writes hdfd.hr
Ana and Melkior worked with scenographer Christian Goldbeck on the development of military trenches and a camp that were later built in the Czech Republic.
After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb, they both started working on film. The first project was Game of Thrones, and thanks to the famous Croatian scenographer Nenad Pečur, they worked on the Hollywood blockbuster Uncharted, which was shot in the Babelsberg studio in Berlin. After a successfully completed job, the next project was All Quiet on the Western Front.
Ana and Melkior are currently in Ouarzazate, Morocco, where they are working with famous designer Arthur Max on Ridley Scott's new film, hdfd.hr writes.
