It certainly looks like being a bumper year for Croatian tourism, all indicators suggest that Croatia will break the record year of 2019. And as around 20 to 25 percent of the whole country’s GDP comes from the tourism industry a good year is just what is needed after two years of chaos.
The capital’s airport is leading the way with a record breaking start to 2023. In February Zagreb Airport saw the busiest ever February on record. A grand total of 208,469 passengers passed through Zagreb Airport in February which is an incredible 40.1 percent more than last year and just over 13 better than the previous best year of 2020.
And it is hardly surprising that Zagreb Airport is smashing all records this year, the airport is connected to 59 destinations with 22 airlines flying in and out.
