Last year, Croatia was the second fastest growing music streaming market in the world, with growth of 58 percent on an annual level, according to the annual report of the influential company Luminate, which measures music popularity in more than 200 countries around the world.
Luminate is the most influential company in the field of data collection and analysis in the entertainment industry. On the basis of its data, Billboard magazine lists, such as Hot 100 (US singles chart), Billboard 200 (US album chart) and Global 200 (world's greatest hits list) are created.
The global overview of the annual report of the company Luminate was made based on the analysis of data in 49 countries, including Croatia.
According to the 2022 report, music streaming is the dominant way of listening to music today and one of the main drivers of music industry revenue growth.
The growth of music streaming at the global level last year was 25.6 percent. More than 5.3 billion songs were streamed, and in the United States alone, for the first time, that number has exceeded one billion songs streamed in 12 months, amounting to 1.3 billion.

The greatest demand for access to music via streaming services is currently in Latin America, and the fastest growing market is Indonesia.

When it comes to the habits of Croatian users of streaming services, they are similar to large markets such as America.
The global services Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, TIDAL and YouTube Music operate in Croatia, and last year Croatia received the Croatia Songs list in the Hits of the World section of Billboard magazine.
