Croatian World Cup star, Mislav Oršić, has signed for English Premier League team Southampton, in a deal worth upwards of 8 million euro.

Dinamo Zagreb reported that the 30-year-old attacking midfield is leaving the Croatian league and has signed for Southampton FC on the south coast of England. The first offer of five million euros for Oršić was rejected, and then Southampton came back with an improved offer of six million euros plus a bonus of two million euros.

Oršić scored one of the best goals at the World Cup in Qatar.

According to information, Oršić is currently undergoing a medical examination, after which he will sign the contract. Last winter, Oršić had an offer from Burnley, but then that transfer did not materialize, even though Mislav wanted to leave. But now apparently a satisfactory offer has arrived for Dinamo, and it is likely that he will leave after all.

Southampton's next game is on Saturday in the FA Cup against Crystal Palace, and four days later in the League Cup against Manchester City. The first next league game is on January 14 away against Everton.
