“We are now at 90 percent of tourist arrivals and 95 percent of overnight stays compared to the record year of 2019,” stated Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac in an interview for HRT.

She added that nautical tourism is 40 percent better than in July 2019 and the number of tourists from Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia is higher than in 2019. In fact, the number of tourists from the Czech Republic is up 54 percent on 2019.

The minister also stated that earnings from tourism were increasing, after two barren years the financial results in the first six months of this year are 24 percent higher than 2019.
