Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine started Croatia has received more than 2,000 Ukrainian refugees and is willing and able to receive even more. The Croatian Prime Minister, Andrej Plenković, stated that “So far, Croatia has received more than 2,000 refugees from Ukraine, the system is working well and we are ready to help more. Now is the time to show great solidarity and we are doing it.”
And an official statement from the Croatian government stated that “We are part of countries that respect international law and order, respect the borders of other states and stand behind our decisions regardless of what the Russian actions will be.”
And the Croatian Red Cross stated that they have prepared a flyer, in both Croatian and Ukrainian, which they are handing out to refugees and which contains useful information and was prepared in cooperation with the Civil Protection Authority of the Republic of Croatia.
