In the last 24 hours, 11,343 new cases of Covid-19 virus were recorded via PCR testing, and the number of active cases in Croatia today is 59,193.
After yesterday's record breaking daily numbers of new cases with over 10,000 new cases, today's figures represent by far the highest daily increase in Covid-19 infections since the pandemic began in Croatia. And when the number of positive test with the rapid kits is taken into account a total of 17,489 new cases were recorded.
Among them, 1,792 patients are in hospital, of which 195 are on respirators.
Unfortunately, a further 43 people died in the past 24 hours.
Since February 25, 2020, when the first case of infection was recorded in Croatia, a total of 848,150 people have been infected with the new coronavirus have been recorded, of which 13,300 have died, a total of 775,657 have recovered, of which 8,315 recovered in the last 24 hours.
There are currently 37,290 people in self-isolation.
To date, a total of 4,053,231 people have been tested, of which 22,049 were tested in the last 24 hours.
