Due to the growing number of people infected with coronavirus in Croatia, the European Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (ECDC) has put the whole country in the dark red zone.
Last week on the ECDC map only Zagreb and Slavonia were in the dark red zone, whilst the rest of the country was in the red zone. But due to the huge increase in new cases over the past week the whole of Croatia is now ranked as dark red in the lasts ECDC Covid-19 map of the European Union.
The dark red is the highest ranking on the ECDC map and indicates that the 14-day cumulative COVID-19 case notification rate is 500 or more. These maps are published by ECDC every Thursday.
It has to be empathised that these maps are advisory, but some EU Member States rely on them when introducing epidemiological restrictions.
