Petrol prices rise again across Croatia

Written by  The Dubrovnik Times Oct 12, 2021

Fuel prices have risen significantly again in Croatia! The average tank of 50 litres of diesel is as much as 19 and a half Kuna more expensive, and a tank of petrol will cost you 13 Kuna more, as prices hiked up.

World gas, electricity and fuel prices have been rising for a long time. The government does not have a precise answer about the reduction of excise duties, which together with taxes burden the price of fuel by about 60 percent.

Although fuel prices are skyrocketing, Economy Minister Tomislav Coric says he is not considering lowering excise duties. Minister of Finance Zdravko Marić believes that excise duties are not inviolable.

Prime Minister Andrej Plenković has not yet revealed possible options, but says the government is following price growth with great interest.
