Written by  The Dubrovnik Times Sep 24, 2021

In the first phase of the census in Croatia, which is currently being held online, was completed by one million people up until yesterday, reported the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) on Thursday.

This first phase of the census, the online phase of the census, will be held until the 26th of September, and citizens and residents can independently register themselves and all the members of their households on the e-Citizens portal.

The CBS commented that “Such a way of self-registration enables safe and advanced digital communication with citizens, at a time when it suits them best.”

After this first digital phase of the census the second phase will see census staff go door-to-door to all those who haven’t already completed the online forms.
