Written by  Sep 14, 2021

In the phase of self-census on the e-Citizens portal, more than 177,000 citizens had already successfully registered by 3:00pm on Tuesday, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported on Tuesday.

Most citizens were registered in the City of Zagreb, 58,214, in the Split-Dalmatia County 17,039 and in the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County 14,985.

The lowest number was registered in Lika-Senj County, 1,118, and in Požega-Slavonia 1,892 and Virovitica-Podravina County - 1,930 people.

During the first phase of the implementation of the census of population, which will last until September 26, citizens can independently enter themselves and all members of their household on the e-Citizens portal.

The rule of self-inventory is one credential - one household. This way of self-census enables safe and advanced digital communication with citizens, at a time when it suits them best, the Central Bureau of Statistics said.
