Zagreb moves from green to orange on new ECDC Covid map

Written by  Aug 12, 2021

The European Center for Disease Control (ECDC) has released a new Covid-19 map of the European Union. The Croatian Adriatic coastline is still in the orange zone, and the City of Zagreb has switched from green to orange.

However, Croatia is still doing better than its main tourist arrivals with both Greece and Spain almost totally in the red.

The ECDC map is advisory, but some Member States rely on it when introducing epidemiological restrictions upon return to their country. It shows a 14-day incidence per 100,000 inhabitants in individual European regions.

As a reminder, yesterday the Minister of Health Vili Beroš said that he believes that the situation in Croatia will not change yet. "We have to be wise and smart enough and think about our behavior, without exceptions, to maintain this situation. I personally believe that Croatia will remain in the orange region for some time to come," Beros said.
