Nearly 843,000 vehicles drove on Croatian motorways last weekend, which is 39 percent more than the same weekend from last year, a clear indication that this season is considerably better than last year.
Revenue from tolls collected during the past weekend, from July 23 to 25, amounted to slightly more than 46.5 million Kuna (excluding VAT). Compared to the same weekend in July last year, there were about 136 thousand more vehicles on Croatian motorways and about 13.5 million Kuna more tolls collected.
Even when compared to 2019 there were only 3 percent fewer vehicles last weekend compared to the same weekend from 2019.
"Although the overall traffic was lower than in 2019, it is interesting that on some highways there was more traffic than in the same weekend in 2019,” commented Croatian Highways.
