On Saturday, July 24, the number of applied doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in Croatia reached 3 million the Croatian Institute of Public Health (CIPH) announced on Sunday.
A total of 1,620,106 people were vaccinated with the first dose, of whom 1,385,270 were vaccinated with two doses, while in total 1,429,990 people have been fully vaccinated as 44,720 have received the Janssen vaccine.
“Even after consuming more than 3 million doses, the Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (HALMED) has not received a single report of a suspected fatal side effect that has been found to be related to vaccination. Of the 4,435 reports of suspected adverse reactions received, the most commonly reported adverse reactions were fever, headache, muscle aches, chills, general weakness, fatigue, nausea and joint pain. These are the expected side effects,” stated the director of the Croatian Institute of Public Health, Krunoslav Capak.
The highest coverage of those vaccinated with the first dose was achieved in the City of Zagreb (46.1 percent of the total population, i.e. 55.8 percent of the adult population), and the completed vaccination was also achieved in the City of Zagreb (40.4 percent of the total population, i.e. 48.9 percent of the adult population), announced CNIPH.
