Luka Modrić's incredible goal in the Croatian national football team victory against Scotland (3-1) is included among the ten most beautiful goals of the European Championship 2020, and the winner of the most spectacular goal will be decided by the fans on the official website of the European Football Federation (UEFA).
Modrić scored a cracking shot with the outside of his foot to make the result 2-1 against Scotland in the 62nd minute.
With this goal, Modrić entered the history of the Croatian national team as the oldest Croatian goal scorer at the European Championships. He scored at the age of 35 years and 286 days. And strangely enough Modric is also the youngest Croatian ever to score a goal at the Euros, when he was 22 years and 273 days old with a goal against Austria and Euro 2008.
Certainly, the goal of the Czech striker Patrik Schick, who scored for the Czechs in the first round of Group D from the halfway line looks set to win the prize of the best goal of the tournament.
Among the nominees for the award are Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne, Paul Pogba, Lorenzo Insigne, Federico Chiesa, Alvaro Morata, Mikkel Damsgaard and Andriy Jarmolenko.
The final decision will be made by the fans by voting on the UEFA website.
