In June, 40 percent more job advertisements were published than in the same period of pre-pandemic 2019, which is a clear sign of market recovery and a return to labour demand, announced the online recruitment website MojPosao on Wednesday.
“In May, the demand for labour, for the first time since the pandemic, surpassed the 2019 figures, however, it was just an overture to what followed in June when as many as 40 percent more job advertisements were published than in the same month pre-pandemic 2019,” the statement said.
They point out that the analysis of the entire employment market, taking into account the total number of published job vacancies, shows clear signs of a market recovery and a return to labour demand figures from pre-pandemic 2019.
“In the last few months, there has been a delay in additional seasonal employment of workers. Namely, until recently, the tourist season was uncertain, which is why a large number of companies waited for the last minute to find seasonal workers" points out the director of the MojPosao portal Igor Žonja, when commenting on the increase in the number of ads in June.
