The Croatian tourism industry has received a massive boost ahead of the 2021 tourist season with the news that Germany will remove Croatia from the list of high-risk countries this Sunday.
This is good news for Croatian tourism because Germans are convincingly the most numerous tourists and it is encouraging that this country is finally easing epidemiological measures. The curfew has been abolished in Berlin, the regions are gradually opening bars and shops, but restaurants only on the second of June.
“Currently, a third of the German population has received their first vaccine, and approximately one in 10 people has been fully vaccinated,” said Lothar Wieler, director of the Robert Koch Institute of Infectious Diseases.
German tour operators are optimistic because they doubled their reservations in April. And Lufthansa is slowly reviving routes.
