In the last 24 hours, 1,254 new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded in Croatia, and 39 people died, the National Civil Protection Headquarters reported on Sunday.
These new figures are less when compared to last Saturday when 2,535 new cases were confirmed in Croatia, but usually on Saturdays and Sundays there is also usually a lower number of people tested. The number of deaths over the past 24 hours is higher compared to yesterday's data, when it was announced that 31 people had died.
The number of active cases in Croatia today is 15,280, including 2,288 people in hospital across the country and 240 people on ventilators.
Since the first case of infection in Croatia, a total of 322,626 people have been infected with the new coronavirus of which 6,854 have died.
A total of 300,492 people recovered, of which 2,282 recovered in the last 24 hours. There are currently 33,759 people in self-isolation. To date, a total of 1,759,208 people have been tested, of which 7,007 were tested in the last 24 hours.
As of April 24, 621,077 people had been vaccinated, with 453,854 receiving the first dose and 164,792 having received both doses.
