Cecilija Rotim, from the Croatian Institute of Public Health spoke about the vaccination process in Zagreb to the news network N1.

She said that in a week about 12,600 people have been vaccinated. She added that these weren’t only people from the priority groups, but also the younger people, and that it is good that young people also want to be vaccinated.

“Today, by 10 a.m., about 700 people have been vaccinated and we plan to vaccinate about 3,000 people,” Rotim said.

However, she also pointed out that still about 50 percent of people who receive a call for vaccination, simply do not respond, or do not confirm arrival.

“We don’t know exactly what the reasons are, but we hope to have a greater turnout next week,” she said.

“AstraZeneca is the dominant vaccine, but we hope to start vaccinating with Pfizer next week. It will be a combination,” added Rotim.
