Vaccinated people will not have to go into quarantine after contact with positive person

Yesterday, the Croatian Institute of Public Health published Revised Recommendations on Priorities for Covid-19 and people who have been vaccinated are exempt from quarantine after being in close contact with someone who is positive for Covid-19.

Vaccination against Covid-19 is now considered, as well as recovery from the virus, to be a valid reason for exemption from quarantine and testing after close contact with a person who is positive for the virus.

“If based on medical history or screening test results for new variants, it is suspected that the patient is suffering from a variant of the virus with a higher potential for spread or which is antigenically different from the prevailing variants, contact quarantine lasts 14 days. Currently, this refers to the so-called UK, Brazilian and South African variant of the virus,” stated the Institute.
