By  The Dubrovnik Times Jan 16, 2021

According to the IQAir air quality index, the citizens of Zagreb on Friday breathed the worst air in the European Union. Zagreb has a score of 151, reports Večenji list, which means that the air is unhealthy. Bișkek in Kyrgyzstan has the most polluted air at the moment.

In addition to the analysis of the air quality of cities, the Swiss site IQAir publishes the air quality by neighbourhoods. They state that the worst air quality is in Lanište. This will be especially felt by those who belong to vulnerable groups.

The Croatian Environment and Nature Agency also states on its website that the air quality in Zagreb is very poor. Data on the high concentration of pollutants were recorded by the station of the state network for continuous monitoring of air quality.
