Croatia Highways have announced that in order to allow for a freer flow of emergency vehicles to the earthquake affected area of the Sisak-Moslavina County they have stopped all tolls.
A large number of vehicles, both from Croatia and abroad, have descended on the region carrying both aid as well as emergency teams. Croatia Highways stopped all tolls on this stretch of motorway, from Zagreb to Sisak, from December 29 at 3:00pm. They have now added that they will continue to stop all tolls until at least midnight on January 24.
They had previously announced that tolls would come back into force from January 4, but have now extended the free toll policy.
