Early this morning the first Covid-19 vaccine arrived in Croatia. These first doses arrived on refrigerated trucks from Brussels and the vaccination across the country will begin tomorrow.
At around 6:00am this morning the Covid-19 doses arrived at the Croatian Institute of Public Health. It will be transported to all counties from this central point. Vaccination will begin tomorrow, on Sunday, with the first to be vaccinated a person from a home for the elderly in Zagreb.
In this first batch all members of the European union received the same number of doses, or 9,750 vaccines, and this first step is somewhat of a ceremonial one.
Across the European Union the vaccination program begins tomorrow and the vaccine will be free-of-charge and voluntary, with experts advising that a population will be protected when 70 percent have been vaccinated.
