The beauties of Croatia were featured in a popular French travel show "Echappées belles" which is has an audience of more than 1.5 million people. The French market is one of the most important for the Croatian tourism industry and after the year that we’ve all just had there are high hopes for 2021.

Danijela Mihalić Đurica, the director of the Croatian Tourist Board in France, commented that “The popular show "Echappées belles" on the French market will significantly help maintain the visibility of Croatia, given that the show is watched by more than 1.5 million viewers, and we expect positive promotional effects at the time of resumption of sales and reservations. Namely, due to the epidemiological situation, many French people spent a much larger number of holidays at home this year, which is why it is expected that next tourist season they will travel to close, accessible and safe destinations, so we believe that Croatia will take one of the leading positions on the French market."

This travel show about Croatia was created as a result of a joint collaboration between the French television station France 5 and the Croatian Tourist Board, with the support of the tourist board system. The show highlights famous tourist destinations, revealing unknown facts about the lives and customs of the local population, and this time the show presents Istria and the islands of Pag and Cres, as locations of incredible natural beauty and rich cultural heritage, with emphasis on gastronomic potential and exceptional hospitality.
