In the last 24 hours, 2,421 new cases of Covid-19 virus were recorded, and the number of active cases in Croatia today is 11,144. Once again Croatia broke a record for the highest number of new cases in one 24-hour period, after yesterday’s 2,242.
The City of Zagreb once again had a record breaking day for new cases of Covid-19 with 976 new cases, there are currently 3,470 active cases in the Croatian capital, 0.49 percent when calculated as a percentage of the population. Zagreb has had a total of 9,418 cases since the pandemic began, or 1.3 percent of the capital’s population.
In just the last seven days Croatia has seen 10,800 new cases on Covid-19 up and down the country.
There are currently 825 people in hospitals and 58 people on ventilators. Unfortunately, over the past 24-hour period 8 people have passed away due to the virus, meaning that the death toll since the pandemic began is now 437.
Since February 25, 2020, when the first case of infection was recorded in Croatia, a total of 36,380 people have been infected with the new coronavirus, of which 437 have died, a total of 24,799 people have recovered, including 1,014 in the last 24 hours.
