Of the 20 million infected, 7.2 million are active cases, while 12.15 million people have recovered from the disease, which has affected 220 countries around the world.
The United States leads the world in the number of people infected and deceased from coronavirus, and according to the latest data, the number of new cases in the United States rose by at least 48,405 on Monday, to a total of 5.11 million. At the same time, at least 541 deaths were recorded, the total number has now reached 163,160.
In the state of California, the number of new cases on Monday rose by at least 12,784, the largest increase since the start of the pandemic, and the total number of cases is currently 573,904.
