American actor Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, have said they are feeling better after a two-week hospital stay and self-isolation from coronavirus infection.
"Hey, guys, it's been two weeks since we got our first symptoms and we're getting better," the actor posted in a message to fans on social media.
The multiple Oscar winner and his wife fell ill while shooting a biopic about Elvis Presley on the Australian Gold Coast. They were treated at the hospital and then released last week for self-isolation. Recording has been suspended in the meantime.
In a message released today, Hanks also urged fans to listen to pandemic advice, supporting U.S. and Australian efforts to curb the spread of the virus by deterring citizens from gathering in popular public places. "When you isolate yourself, you do not pass on the virus to anyone or transmit it to you. Sounds reasonable, right?"
