There are over 10,000 people in self-isolation in Croatia as the number of people infected with coronavirus rise to over 80, but what does self-isolation actually mean? The newly formed website - www.koronavirus.hr - that offers information on all things related to coronavirus in Croatia has a list of measures that people in self-isolation must follow.
If you are given a measure of self-isolation, these are the things that you must adhere to. This measure protects you as well as others:
1. You are not allowed to leave your house except in an emergency.
2. When you enter self-isolation, you are required to contact your chosen family doctor. No further reporting is required unless you get a temperature.
3. Measure your body temperature in the morning and evening.
4. Pay attention to the symptoms of respiratory infection (fever, cough, shortness of breath ...)
5. Wash your hands regularly with soap or use a hydro-alcoholic solution.
6. Clean and disinfect items and surfaces on a regular basis in the premises where you reside.
7. Ventilate the room regularly.
8. Use separate bedding, towels and cutlery.
9. Secure a separate bedroom and use the bathroom separately.
10. If you need to go to a health care facility, contact your family doctor or a competent epidemiologist beforehand.
