To kick off the Dubrovnik Winter Festival, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board has prepared Sweet Christmas Workshops, which will be held in TIC on Pile from Thursday, 5 to Sunday, December 8 for all gourmets and anyone who wants to learn how to prepare some new desserts.
The first sweet Christmas workshop, called Christmas Fairy Tale from Hotel Lero, will be held on Thursday, December 5th at 10:30 am, when Jelena Lenac Rasica, cook and confectioner of Hotel Lero, will show us how to make the healthy and sweet Carrot Cake.
At the afternoon workshop on Thursday, December 5th at 4:00 pm, the popular Dubrovnik pastry chef, Lucija Tomasic Saric, owner of the Mala Truba, will teach us how to make and decorate Christmas cookies with honey and spices.
At a sweet morning workshop on Friday, December 6th, at 10:30 am, the young Dubrovnik pastry chef with a wealth of experience, Erika Hauswitschka, will show us how to make and decorate healthy Christmas cookies without flour and sugar.
Friday afternoon is reserved for everyone's favourite dessert, chocolate, when architect Irena Bastijanić, who makes chocolate full of local flavours and spices, will hold a Little Chocolate School, a workshop for children.
On Saturday morning from 10:30 am, the Dubrovnik journalist Silva Capurso will present a warm gin drink, as well as a fragrant Christmas cake, made according to the classic English Christmas cake, in a Dubrovnik version, with fragrances and flavours of the Dubrovnik region.
Dolce vita pastiche owner Alisa Nenadic, also known for her blog Sweet Life Alisa Nenadic, will hold two workshops called Fast & Easy. On Saturday afternoon from 4:00 pm, the theme will be Chocolate Chops with Nuts and Dry Fruits, while on Sunday morning from 10:30 the theme of the workshop will be Gin and Lime Balls.
The final sweet Christmas workshop on Sunday afternoon from 4:00 pm will be hosted by Erik Hauswitschka with the theme of the Christmas Cake, referring to the healthy version of the Christmas Cake served after Christmas lunch without flour, sugar, eggs and dairy products.
